Flat Roof Solutions
Our engineered joists are the easiest and quickest solution to flat roof installations. Using either our Masonite® I Joist or Mi Tek® Posi- Joist Metal Web products, all joists are precision cut to size and delivered with clear plans, fixing instructions and all associated metalwork.
Range of Flat Roof Solutions we offer
Our Masonite® I-beam is an engineered wood product that boasts great strength in relation to its size and weight, making it ideal for flat roof solutions. I-Joists feature a central OSB web between solid top and bottom flanges. These joists resist bending and, thanks to the webbing, provide outstanding shear resistance.
We also offer the Mi Tek ® Posi- Joist Metal Web solution. With its advanced metal web structure sandwiched between solid top and bottom flanges, this roof solution offers greater spanning potential than I-beams. What’s more, the open spaces in the structure save time for other trades as they first fix elements such as electrics and plumbing.
All our flat roof systems can be loaded to take commercial plant such as air conditioning units, as well as glass lanterns, without the additional cost of steel supports.
I-Beams / I-Joists
An engineered wood joist, more commonly known as an I-joist or I-beam, is a product designed to eliminate problems that occur with conventional wood joists
Metal Web Posi Joists
Easi-joist metal web solutions differ from I-beams as they use a metal web structure between solid top and bottom flanges, the open spaces in the structure save time for other trades as they first fix electrical and plumbing etc.
Floor Cassettes
Pre engineered floor cassettes can incorporate either our timber I-Beam or our Easi-Joists® systems. Decking material (OSB boarding, Plywood or Chipboard) is then added to create complete manufactured cassettes to build the floor with.
