Heywood Timber Engineering is a proudly independent company. Founded back in 2005, we have rapidly grown year on year to become one of the most prominent suppliers of engineered wood products in the North of England.
Our head office occupies a 1.5 acre site in Halifax, West Yorkshire. This includes 20,000 sq. ft. of office space and a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, all at the heart of the M62 corridor. Thanks to this impressive set up, we have the capacity to design and produce 80,000 units across all our engineered timber product range and 1000 timber frame buildings annually – and achieve these targets year on year.
From Day One we specialised in delivering a complete design, supply and installation package of timber engineering products for the construction industry. And with our excellent location, we can provide a quick and reliable supply of all engineered timber products to our customers nationwide.
Today, we employ 13 designers across the company, each of which is expert within their chosen product field. To ensure we meet the ever-growing demand for our products, we operate a 24-hour manufacturing factory manned by over 100 dedicated employees.

We specialise in the design and manufacture of a whole array of engineered timber roof and floor solutions for the construction industry. These include roof trusses, attic trusses, spandrel panels, flat roof solutions, dormer roof solutions, Masonite ® I-Beam/ I- Joists, Mi Tek ® Posi- joists, floor cassettes as well as timber framed buildings.
All our products have been rigorously developed to meet the latest industry standards and the increased demands for improved energy performance and air tightness to satisfy current building regulations.
