At Heywood Timber Engineering we source all our sawn wood products from partners across Scandinavia. Our ethically sourced pine and spruce timber is expertly managed from seed in the forest to our customers, and we’ve committed to the FSC® and PEFC ® chain of custody schemes. Production of sawn timber is virtually fossil-free, since most of the energy used is renewable and generated from the waste products from the forest. We also promote sustainable development at every stage of our business, and strive to offer our customers exceptional products from responsible sources. Only this way can we truly build a greener future together.
As one of the world’s most climate responsive building materials, timber provides not only exceptional performance as a construction material, it is also carbon-positive, renewable, non-toxic, recyclable and biodegradable.
